Renewable energy event at the iCon Centre

A free drop-in event about renewable energy is being held as part of a week of community activities at the new iCon Environmental Innovation Centre.
Residents and organisations will be able to meet local installers of renewable energy and find out how they can reap the benefits of technologies such as solar electricity, solar hot water, ground and air source heat pumps, biomass and small-scale wind turbines.
There will also be a presentation by the Energy Saving Trust on the Feed-In Tariff Scheme and the forthcoming Renewable Heat Incentive.
The event, which is being held on Wednesday, May 25, from 5pm to 8pm and is free to attend, is an opportunity to visit the new iCon Environmental Innovation Centre.
The iCon centre is hosting a range of community events from May 21 to 28 to celebrate the arrival of Daventry’s new landmark and give people the opportunity to look around the building.
For more information about the renewable energy event or to register your interest, please contact Alice Ellis at Daventry District Council on 01327 871100 or email aellis@daventrydc.gov.uk.
